Friend just inherited a gold Air King

A friend just inherited this Air King from his later father and wants to know about it. I am a vintage newbie and wasn't able to answer and I'd appreciate your input.

I tried to open the bracelet but don't have the proper tool now.

It looks like gold plated but the case back says stainless steel (replaced or fake?).

the bracelet certainly has a lot of damage.. A paper clip or toothpick will take the bracelet off..

Not unusual for early gold filled and plated models to have a stainless back.. Probably from the 70's, but you need some numbers to zero in more closely.

That is a 5520 AirKing. Made between 1974 and 1986. It has a cal 1570 movement. Not rare but not something you see everyday.

Ref airking 5520 gold plated

Hi, my first post - joined the forum because I have been looking at this item and unsure whether to buy. Any idea on what would be a realistic price? Also, the one I've seen has a leather strap - did all the originals come with a bracelet?
