Awesome Gift there!!!

... I hope you decide to wear it more than not. The stone settings on those 18XXX dials are fantastic!! I like them better than the modern diamond dials. Congrats -Ron

Congrats! Nice Dad.

Why didn't he ever wear it?

Also, after 25 years - have it serviced.

SMART MAN...
Think of what he paid for that then...and it's relative value now.
NOW go buy one for your son...that is if your as smart as your Dad!

That's the one thing that rokex has over everyone else in the market timeless watches look at that beauty 25 years and still looks stunning. My 25 years old other brands look 25 years and dated. Congrats

Congrats on both. I'd love to hear the story about why your dad kept the watch put away for so long.

Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. Really appreciate it.

Regarding why the watch was never worn and put away for so long, well my Dad was never a flashy type of personality and probably didn't want all the attention the watch would bring. We also live in South Africa which is not exactly the safest place to be wearing a watch like this.

He paid around $2800 for the watch 25 years ago. I believe that same watch now new costs $28k ! Talk about an Investment!
