No brainer for me. If I had the money, that's exactly the DD I'd buy. Timeless. Elegant. Muted luxury.

The DDII with glacier dial and dark blue roman would be an amazing watch to have. If you were wearing any sort of blue on you especially a navy suit it would be a killer combo. I don't think I will ever own one due to price and other watches I want more but it is a great piece.

It's a factory dial to the Platinum version that I've mounted in my WG version.

Here you can see how I do.

Dial change

Oh, man, that is just sick! ...and here I was so proud of being able to change the bezel inserts on my pre-C GMT II, when others go to an AD to have it done!
And here, all this time, most of us, (but not all, I'm sure), thought your talent lay in "blue-themed" watch layout photography!!
Just rockin' on all fronts...tools, talent, and BIG NTS!

I love it! If I were to ever rob a bank, before getting arrested, I would see to it that I picked one up.

Indeed. If I had children I would trade them for it.

I think the Glacier Blue dial is outstanding. Having tried it myself I can only say good things about it (and the whole platinum Day-Date in general).

It's a Beautiful dial ...

... I have had mine for a week today. The one thing is it isn't quite as overpowering in color as it looks in some pics. In fact, in person, under some lighting conditions it almost looks silver. I really like the fact that it isn't too shiny as the metal of this watch doesn't need any help in that department Cheers -Ronbo

That's exactly why I like mine so much .. that it flys underneath the radar so well. I like the feeling that one can wear a $50k Plat Rolex and no one notices!
