Thin NATO?

Hi all,

Just picked up my first Rolex recently, Explorer 1 in case you are interested

With the new addition to the family I am interested in fitting my trusty Omega SMP with a NATO strap. Gave one a shot but didn't like the extra height the keeper strap added so cut it off. Still not wild on the thickness of strap through the spring bars.

Seems like there are some folks around here with quite a bit of NATO strap experience. From your experience which supplier offers the thinnest strap? Believe I would prefer RAF style, as my understanding is these don't have the keeper strap in the first place. But I am not apposed to modifying a NATO strap if I can find a nice thin one.

Thanks for the help!

The Maratac offers a bunch, and if Im correct, you can get the ones without the extra piece. Super fast shipping as well, solid product too.

I have an explorer I as well. Check out daluca straps. They make amazing cordovan nato straps. They can make it extra thin so it fits the explorer I perfectly. PM me if you a picture of my explorer on a daluca NATO.

The NATO strap makes the Explorer look like a mean machine
