I like the new cases a lot but the faces are so busy with all of the stupid advertising and oversized markers. Why can't Rolex make a current Sub that says ROLEX Oyster Perpetual, the word SUBMARINER [even in red] and just call it a day? it would be nice to see some black real estate. Does anyone else share these sentiments?

However, I could imagine that it would come out looking neat without it! |

Keep the 14060. If you have to scratch that itch, try to pick up something a little different.

new's not best because it's new - new's best because rolex know what they're doing.... I hated the 114060 when I first picked it up, but by the 3rd go I bought it (figuratively and literally ;) it's a bit like my fav music albums - took a few plays to really appreciate it but if you factor in budget, then for sure the 14060 is the better deal |

14060 for me. Like the maxi dial & hands. Do not like the maxi case - too square and lugs too fat.
Just me!

I am old school and I do not care for the larger case at all. I think that classic sub was the perfect balance with the taper of face body "flowing" into the band.
The new size loses this flow IMHO and is not as balanced to the eye. So my vote would be for the classic. I also don't care for the look of the ceramic bezel. Just overpowers the watch and let's be honest...it's the least thing most people who buy the watch ever use anyway! Most of the subs sold never get closer to the water than a 5 foot pool much less the ocean.
