Airsoft???

I have played paintball for many many years but moving out to California my lifestyle changed a little bit. They have opened a new indoor facility for airsoft that caters to all sorts of age groups. I ended up getting some airsoft equipment and have been playing a couple times a month.

Does anyone on here play airsoft or paintball?

I play paintball, about twice a year.
Played airsoft too, about 3 times total. Didn't really liked it.. Doesn't give that real feeling imo.
But paintball ...! Oh yeah !!!

I’d love to start with a few friends but organising firearm licences and gun safes for airsoft is such a pain in the ass it’s not really worth it.
(Skirting on rule 6. here, so PM me if you’re curious)

Me and my brother (now SWAT) thought we'd try to live our old Infantry days back when Airsoft was first getting hot.

Both of us got top-of-the-line platforms with upgraded guts and registered onto a local airsoft board trying to get something started; possibly make new friends and drink a few beers.

Although there were people with similar back grounds to us, an overwhelming majority of people looked like overstuffed sausages wearing camouflage that insisted their years of playing Rainbow Six somehow trumped our real world experience as doorkickers.

We never intended to take the hobby seriously but a lot of peoples’ insecurities often had them continuously questioning our abilities, or comparing us to their badass ‘secret squirrel’ military relatives whom once had Saddam in their scopes. It sucked all the fun out of it and we both left the hobby disappointed.

I haven't played airsoft in a long time. But I do love my Systema MP5. The trigger group with a three round burst mode is fantastic.
