hey guy i need some help

so i was looking at the panerai 372 and i like the pictures. i live in Sacramento, CA and unfortunately there are no AD for panerai so i cant really try in on. so my questions are how big is it compare to the rolex explorer2 and do they hold their value as much as rolex. just wanted to get some thoughts together. if you have it and you like it is it too big or what not.

I tried one 372 on in Japan...it's a big watch and wears more like a thick slab on the wrist versus the newer Exp 2 (I tried that on over a year ago). The lugs seemed to hang over my wrist which made it a no-go...I even tried it on a second time in Germany. I also think that as the strap on the 372 softens, it would help the fit. I love the look of the watch and it's the closest obtainable piece since buying an original "Fiddy" is out of the question. I have seen some 372's online (here and other places) that seem to be less than retail. The Exp 2, on the other hand, is far less thick and fit my slim wrist better.

Regarding value...tough to tell on the PAM's. The historic-esque models seem to hold fairly well if the 249 and original "Fiddy" are to be held as examples, but as Panerai continues to roll out more historic editions, one has to wonder. Still, PAM's, in general, seem to hold up better value-wise than, say, Breitlings or Omegas IMO. Many predicted that big watches would tumble at some point but they just keep making them and people keep buying. Find one to try on and then buy what you really like...
