Panda for Bee.......would you ??
I have a Panda and a Diver....but have had my eye on a Bee for a LONG time. I wear my diver on bracelet as my daily wearer and was thinking about moving the Panda to enable a Bee purchase, but am not sure about how much I would miss it.
I know there are a number of members here with both pieces and would love to hear opinions. The other options is to move the diver and another piece from the stable (say an IWC Big Pilot and cash to me) and keep the Panda along with the Bee...but that would seems like giving up a lot of versatility. Please talk me into or out of this insanity !!!!!!!!!!!! TIA |

Bee is different because its carbon. I will do it if the price is right.
But if you have to pay too much then its not worth it, because both are the same ... AP |

Since you have the Diver, which is an awesome SS piece, I would do it.
Crave the carbon!! |

As beautiful as the panda is.... the bee is soo striking in the flesh that it looks so different than other SS watches, black and yellow combo is stunning, it looks far better in natural daylight than under internal lights IMHO ... Once you see it and try it, you will be sweetly stung forever!!
Love mine to bits! |

I would get the Bee but would not trade the Panda for it, I would give up the diver.

Id keep either for the bracelet option and get the BB. Just have to ask yourself if you like one more than the other. Win win either way!

this is what i did :) i sold my panda and made way for a bumblebee
now, i am pending a sale of the BB (fortunately and hopefully to one in the TRF brotherhood) i honestly cannot say i have any regrets i just miss the panda sorely, but the BB is a better watch and a better AP in every sense from a wearer's point of view when you take the colours and themes and feels out of the equation |

first i must apologize to the OP for hijacking the thread!
Mike is right! fortunately, i already got the car (yellow F430) three weeks ago so i did not 'need' to sell the BB to make the purchase. however, i wish to learn to detach myself emotionally from watches and cars (i also listed a 993 targa for sale) because now i am a father of two kids, a 1.5yrs girl and a 3 month boy :) if i wish to still enjoy my hobbies i will have to alter my "collecting" tendencies, and settle for heavy-usage of those items! the prospective buyer is a great guy from the brotherhood so i am not one bit sad because i know it will be enjoyed by a friend one day, i hope to buy back the Panda & BB! i know this for certain |

Thanks a lot Mike. Please, if you ever have any questions, shoot me an email directly. I am now a self-proclaimed Fcar expert! Yes, for the time being the F355 is staying put, until the right deal comes along.
PS: we need to start a "Miscellaneous Thread" as a sticky in the AP forum. Other forums I frequent have an ongoing thread where people just chill and chat and share. This is to steer people like me away from hijacking threads. Sorry, yyzpam. |

I would move the pilot and cash for the BB. Keep the panda and diver. I'm biased though. :)

Just my opinion but while I really liked the Diver when it first came out, I think for that "look" I prefer a 15400 now.
For a ROO, Panda > Diver...so I would sell the Diver for the BB. |

If you sell the Panda then you'll have 2 APs with black faces and then be craving an alternative all over again.
To the dude with the Ferrari - nice car! |

I would if I were in your position. Panda and BB are essentially ROO chronograph, just made of different material and design colour schemes. I would pick BB over Panda due to the uniqueness of FC & ceramic combo. Diver, to me, is a different watch due to its specialised diving function. I feel that Diver is the most robust ROO in the current line up and it is very handsome in its own way. Of course, the best is to own all three! As for IWC BP, I would sell it if it doesn't have much wrist time (which is natural especially when you have those fantastic APs), and pave way for more APs.

I appreciate all of the input....
I love the diver on both the bracelet and the rubber, love the Panda on the croc and not the bracelet. It seems like giving up the Panda would leave me with two black faced watches and both fairly sporty....giving up the diver would leave me with two essentially same pieces but diffrent colours and case materials.......... |

Agree, Panda is my fav ROO so I would keep that and also the Diver comes on rubber so its a lesser timepiece so give that up first, youll miss the Panda more than the Diver I think.
