Would you use your Rolex as a weapon if push came to shove?

Well, would ya, punk?

Well you heard of that guy who back slapped that guy on the temple with his SD, and cracked his head open and gave him TMJ syndrome???? These watches are tough, and could fracture a skull if the proper amount of stroke follow through was utilized. I think that is one good reason to maybe get the SD.

"proper amount of stroke and follow through"! Now THAT'S funny. 'Tis also true...

I'd rather use my weapon(s) as a weapon instead of my watch, but it would work.

I can't possibly see a situation in which a watch would be a better 'weapon' than anything in your pocket or your own hands. So no.

If push came to shove I would even consider picking up and swinging a nearby old lady to use as a weapon if needed. My Rolex would be utilized no problem.

You are the weapon, everything else is just a tool. So that's one way to make a Rolex a tool watch once again.

If I had to, sure. It's insured and ultimate goal is to stay alive and buy another Rolex.

This is the order in which I shall respond to the threat:
1) use my mother in law first
2) use my quadriplegic grandma in wheelchair next
3) use some family members as shields
4) confront the bastid with my left hand, since my rollie is on my right.

Do you have to stay up late to think of this questions??

Here's a few more for you.

1. Would you use your Rolex to stop a speeding bullet or take the round in the chest?

2. If your watch contained Kryptonite and has threatening Superman would you throw it in the ocean or let Lex Luther prevail?

3. Are you glad your proctologist wears a Datejust instead of a Royal Oak Offshore?

What I find funny is that I actually thought of this before JJ posted the question. I'm still not quite sure. But I think yes.

Winning strategy!!!!

While the perpertrator held a gun on me, I would slowly reach over and take off my GMT2C and hand it to him and then ask him if I could explain how to set 2 time zones with the green hand and the bezel. While he was absorbing this information I would kick him in the genitals, take the watch back, and run away. I would be faster than a speeding bullet.

you have to be careful with all the sharp edges on a rollie (according to some insightful reviews) you may cut the bad guy and you will end up in jail for use of a deadly weapon.

remember hit them with something you can easily discard leave no evidence

I had guy look at my camera gear with "that look." I was sitting on a park bench and he came over and tried to scare me with, "Yo, man, what you do if I say I gonna jack that camera from you?" I stood up and held camera and lens like a baseball bat and got ready to take a swing at him. Now the sight of a guy 6'4" holding a Nikon 400/2.8 and F2A over his head and approaching you, well let's just say it looked like I was going to wallop him with steel and glass the size of a Springer Spaniel.

Defense mode is rather close in such cases. Folks are taught (or can be taught) how to use car keys for self defense. Forget the mace, knives, pepper spray, etc. Odds are the bad guy will due you for an allergy to such items. But when a jury hears you had to use car keys, a camera, or "the beautiful watch you promised your grandson, now it's ruined" to defend yourself, you have a leg up.

Anyone for upgrading brass knuckles to two-tone knuckles? Knock the guy across two time zones!

Robert,
You spoke up first, damn I had the same idea. A YM or SD in the teeth as hard as I could punch. Scum bag needs a new grill as his teeth are now on the floor.
