Vintage Rolex Canadian caseback 3478 vs 3136
Hi
Anyone that is familiar with the Rolex made Canadian models made during WWII. I have an Oyster Centregraph with a case back marked 3478 which I know to be correct. I recently sa an Oyster Lipton model for sale with a case back with the number 3136. I don't think that is correct, but I am not sure. I found some info that a 3136 case back was for a Tudor. Does anyone know? |

I've only ever seen them with 3436 stamped an the case back. Also the 6 digit serial number is just above it on the back. The crown should be stamped Patent Oyster.

I have one too. Case back stamped with 6 digit S/N 151xxx(1942) and 3478 which is the movement caliber. Source: http://vintagerolexforum.info/vrf/index3.html

3478 is the model number. The watch should have Type 59 caliber in it.
I have a bunch of 3478, mostly Oyster Watch Co. but one of them is a Tudor. I need to check the numbers, I think I have one with 3135 model (most likely on the case back). Quote:
