Tiffany Split Second Chronograph 1870-1880'S

Tiffany and Co. Split Second Chronograph. Was serviced 10/26/2012.
Hand engraved monogram case. The inside engraved to and from ship mates on the USS San Jacinto in the Civil War. Both were on the USS San Jacinto during the "Trent affair". The case, dial and movement have matching serial numbers. The case wast tested to 18K with electronic gold testing machine. The movement is not signed but serial number puts it in the production range for a Patek. Chronograph and time both function correctly and it runs great! The case is approximately 52mm.

This watch is in wonderful condition! Stunning. The dial has no cracks. This is the only one I have seen that has the hour hand on the side register with center seconds instead most have the hour and minute center.
