Visited my AD today, DJ vs DJ II
Last June I traded away my DJ 116200 White Stick dial as part of the DSSD trade, I have been emailing the AD back and forth since last Fall, I thought about getting my old DJ back, as of now it would cost me $4000 to get it, maybe even less, but I tried on a DJ II, and I was drawn to it more than the 116200 DJ.
The DJ II listed at $7100, was told I could get a better price, $6000 to $6500 for being a repeat customer. I did not buy anything, but want a DJ II white stick dial, it just felt much better on my wrist, I wear my DSSD or PAM 005 and that makes the 116200 feel so much smaller. Ahhh what to do????

Go with the DJ2. I personally would not buy a watch less then 40mm in size. Good luck in what ever you decide.

Go DJ II since you are accustomed to the PAM and Monster DSSD.
I just compared a DJ 36mm to the DSSD this week at an AD and the DJ seems tiny compared to it. On the other hand, I simply cannot pull off the DSSD - just too dang huge for my bones ! |

Personally I prefer the proportion of the dial/batons on the 36mm DJ, but that's me. Go with the size that feels better on your wrist!

I'd say go classic, since you already have larger watches. You'll appreciate it in dress situations when you want something classy and discrete, though if you do like the ii more than the one, buy the ii
Man, what a tough decision! If you're thinking a day date later on, decide if you'd rather have the day date ii or i, and get the opposite for the dj |

Another vote for DJ2. Unless you have very small wrist or prefer small dials, DJ2 is the way to go.

DJII no doubt (for white stick, maybe fluted is the way to go?). For DJs, I prefer the thinner pre-2006 lugs.

I was sold on a 36mm datejust. Then I made the mistake of trying on the DJII. Now the DJII is in my scopes.

The DJ II will def win out, just a matter of time to get it paid for, plus they would need to order one with the white dial, I may go to another AD to just look at one with a white dial smoot bezel, plus it is always good to window shop
