Setting the Explorers

What is the proper way to set a GMT or Explorer watch with the extra hand ?. I've read that the red hand should be set to your time zone and adjust the hour hand when changing zones. Therefore making the orange or red hand the primary hour hand. What's the right way and the most popular way ?.

Thanks......TommyT

Setting the Explorers

I adjust both the 12 and 24 hour hands to match my home time zone, then I just move the 12 hour hand depending on where I travel to.

Cool tip. By doing it this way, you get the benefit of using your watch as a compass as well. Just point the 24 hour hand to the sun, and the 12 hour hand will always point North (in your own time zone of course).

I set my red hand to GMT time, for my second time zone.

What I did was set both hands for local time with the GMT hand on the corresponding hour on the bezel. When I leave this time zone the 12 hour hand will change and the 24 hr. hand will stay on local time.
