Zeppelin Crews?

Does anyone know if the crews of Hindenburg and Graf Zeppelin wore any particular watch? I'm very interested in watches with an aviation connection and I think it would be interesting to know if the Zeppelin company was loyal to a specific brand.

I love this shot of Hindenburgh over Rio de Janeiro

It's amazing that something as long as Titanic could fly.

Yep, the world supply of helium was owned by the US in the 1930s. The Germans didn't even ask to buy any because they knew the answer would have been a respectful no. (because of a military embargo) Although the German Zeppelin company and Goodyear Tire and Rubber were in bed with each other and had Goodyear made a big deal, Hindenburg may have received her helium after all. Hindenburg had been designed to use helium but of course politics required the Germans to use hydrogen...7,000,000 cubic feet of it. Since hydrogen is the lighter than helium, it increased Hindenburg's capacity to 90 souls.

Best regards,

j.
