vacation suggestions?

My SO and I want to get out of the freezer and go somewhere warm next month for about 5-6 days. We would like to keep it under $1K PP. We have been to Antigua, DR, and Costa Rica in the past few years and would like to go somewhere new. Any suggestions on where to go? Cancun seems relatively inexpensive?

if you can find a way (i understand there is some political tension between US and Cuba), i would go to Cuba hands down.

it's my go-to vacation spot for an affordable good time.

I had a friend that went and he said it was great. Unfortunately it was a pain getting there from the US.

SW Florida fits that bill. Maybe not bragging rights for premier status - but great beaches and low key.

With time and budget I guess I'd suggest Florida too. What about the keys? Or st Thomas is nice.
