AR cyclops coating internal or external?

Hi all,
Did a quick search but couldn't find this info. Apologies if I missed it.
Just wondered whether the AR coating on my 116610LN cyclops is on the inside of the crystal, between the crystal and the cyclops or external?
Thanks for the advice,
Chris

I would think that if it was on top you'd have reports of it scratching, yes?
I assume it's under.

My understanding is that it's under the crystal also.

I recall seeing a picture of one (may have been a GMT IIc) with the cyclops removed. There remained an anti reflective area under the crystal where the cyclops had been.

But the cyclops itself is not (!!) under the crystal. It's on top of the crystal.

Have a read of this link (scroll down to the bottom with pictures). It seems to say the AR coating is both under and above.

Interesting picture watchf. Thanks! I'm just wondering whether I need to be careful not to scratch the top of the cyclops because of the AR and it looks like there is a coating there.

The AR coating is what makes the cyclops IMO. My eye is always drawn to the date when looking at the face of the watch because it's so sharp and unreflective.

If its above and below I presume it means on the crystal but under the cyclop and below the crystal on the underside of it.
