Definately good for daily.
Just be sure the 36mm is enough size for you.
I love the proportions, but 36mm wears a bit on the small side for me.

Comes down to personal preference/style. I don't think the DJ is a "dress" watch. More of an all-arounder.

The DJ is a great watch to wear with jeans and a t shirt. I have the champagne dial which is more formal, however I can still wear it with casual clothing.

absolutely. i prefer SS, myself, but the DJ is one of the most iconic watches of all time. it's elegant and sporty. and according to the watch snob*, it's one of only four watches that can do both dress and sport.

I wore my SS 16030 everyday (except when in for service) for 17+ yrs. until I was able to pick up a GMT II and an Explorer II. It works with everything from a tuxedo to shorts and a t-shirt. It is a really versatile piece that goes well with just about everything, although it has been relegated to mostly dress duty now.
As mentioned above, if it is your only watch, it can certainly be employed for every-day use.

Absolutely! I personally waste no time worrying whether my watch looks appropriate for the activity, matches my socks, goes with the color of my eyes, will offend anyone's sensibilities, upset my boss, etc.....

Seriously, IMO a TTDJ as a daily wearer is just fine. I'm wearing my latest DJ as I write this. I did it for 24 years but have lately added an EXPII that seems to get more wrist time overall.

I love my 36mm SS/DJ with jubilee, silver dial, and sticks. I wear it all of the time. I even sleep with it sometimes. It is great to wear with a suit and with jeans just like others have said here.

I was going to say yes with the same caveat. For some, the 41mm DJ Is the better answer. But in either case, the DJ is an all-uses winner.
