Making Space - Which Snowflake Should Go?
A few disclaimers:
1. This is not an attempt to sell, whichever I decide to let go, has already been spoken for 2. They are from the same year (1980) 3. I love them equally 4. I would like to keep whichever is more rare With that in mind, I thank you in advance for your kind opinion. Last edited by clarkhardball; 28 March 2013 at 01:09 AM.. Reason: Pics |

Tough decision. ;)
No pics? Voted to keep blue since I like that more with a snowflake. I don't think one color is more rare than the other when it comes to a 1980 snowflake. |

Now it's tougher. Condition on blue looks a bit better but I really, really love no-dates when it comes to subs. Nice patina as well.
Rarity wise the no-date is probably a bit more rare. |

I would keep the no date. The patina looks great!

I too would say black ! I like the classic look of a Sub without a date . I own both a Rolex Submariner & Tudor Submariner both no dates both black , 1969 & 1970 . I guess my vote would be kind of 1 sided .
- ultimately you have to ask yourself if you can live without a date . Mike B , Canada ⌚ |

Gotta say Black... great combo of patina and no date. But there really is no wrong answer here is there?

Do you own either a 5513 or a 1680?
If you only own one of the above, then keep the Tudor equivalent of the other. Thus, If you own a 5513, but not a 1680, then keep the 94110 If you own a 1680, but not a 5513, then keep the 94010 ...of course, if you already own a 5513 and a 1680, then you're on your own - although I'd suggest that you ignore the question of 'rarity' and concentrate on which one sings to you more. If you wear the 94010, do you miss the date function? Do you look at the 94110 and find the dial a little cluttered vs. the cleaner, simpler look of the no-date? Do you have a whole bunch of watches with black faces and want the color alternative of the 94110? I'm not much help, am I? |

In order of rarity on the 94 series snowflake:
Blue 9401 Black 9401 Blue 9411 Black 9411 For that reason, keep the 9401.

Keep the Blue ! its harder to find such a clean dial... the black one is really nice as well. both are investment grade pieces. what are you trading it for???
