Western Carribean aboard the Norwegian Star
Had a great spring break with family! Cruised the Western Carribean aboard the Norwegian Star.
We started with Easter Sunday mass at the Cathedral of St. Louis in New Orlean. Then enjoyed the jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters. We departed that night and stopped at Costa de Maya, Belize City, Roatan Honduras & Cozumel over the next 7 days. Some fun pics of great scenery, hot weather, cold beer, a nice ship and of course my Rolex. Enjoy |

Looks great! Hope you had a nice time...looks like you had a fun time!
Cruise ships have a particular meaningful significance to me. I have never been on one but the only time I was planning to go on one (even booked a year in advance and paid for it) was with someone I loved dearly. I wasn't interested in it initially but planned to go on one just for her as it was something she had always wanted to do. Things happened in life and she passed away before we could realise our cruise holiday that she always dreamed about. Instead of being on a cruise with her I was at her funeral with her in the month of that year we were supposed to be on the cruise. Now I can only dream about going on one with her. I think of her whenever I see or read about cruises. Sweet memories. Thank you. |

That was supposed to be my itinerary on the Carnival Dream...but my cruise got canceled 2 days before sailing because of a generator problem......FAIL.
At least you had a nice time, they look like beautiful destinations!

Why do they build cruise ships like that? I know they're a far cry from the transatlantic liners of the first half of the 20th century but come on!
America's only true super liner, finished in 1952. Still holds the transatlantic speed record. 38.2 knots or 44mph...and over 100 feet longer than Titanic! Yes please
