FS: Vintage 1st Generation Tudor by Rolex "Big Block" 94210 Chronograph
FS: Tudor 94210 "Big Block" Chronograph. Silver "panda" dial with black subdials. 5-digit serial number 25xxx dates this piece to approx 1984.
Please note that the reference 942** was also shared with the "Monte Carlo" exotic dials and together these were the first of the Tudor automatic winding chronographs. The nickname "big block" refers to the watchs' extra thick case which houses a Valjoux 7750 movement. This particular watch is even rarer because it features the less common rotating bezel which was more expensive than the fixed bezels when new. Unlike some of the newer versions, this Tudor has a Rolex crown, Rolex case back, and Rolex 78630 bracelet with 580 endlinks. One of the luminous dots in missing, but besides that, this timepiece is in excellent shape. There are a few light scratches on the case and acrylic crystal that could easily be polished out by hand if desired but I will leave it to the next owner to decide. Current condition is easily 90-92% per the TimeZone guidelines. Bracelet has very minimal stretch and has 13 links to comfortably fit up to a 7.50" wrist with all links installed. Although this piece is not a certified chronometer, I timed it and it is presently running within COSC standards (+5 seconds per day). Sale also includes original inner & outer boxes as well as Tudor booklet listing all of the models of the era. Reduced to $4495 or best offer. Please add $50 for domestic overnight shipping with insurance. Bank wire is preferred but will consider paypal if buyer is reputable and pays the 3% fee. I do not wish to offer returns on this item so please review photos carefully and ask any questions you might have prior to purchase. As far as references, I have completed many transactions on the forum and positive feedback for those deals can be found by searching for my username in the "who's who" section. Private message is the best way to contact me with any questions or interest. Thanks! |
