If any of you own, or have owned, an Explorer I (36 or 39mm), 14060M, or 114060M, I'd be interested in knowing how you'd compare them in terms of comfort on the wrist, especially over the course of a long day.

I realize that none of them is huge and all will work well on my 6.75" wrist, but I've found that some watches wear more comfortably than others ... and it's pretty difficult to tell when only trying them on for a few minutes.

I love my 14060M and wear it 24/7. No problems with wrist fatigue at all. So comfortable, that sometimes I forget it is on. Wonderful watch.

Can't comment on the other two but the 14060M is very comfortable. I probably wear it 60% of the time out of my three watches.

I've owned the 14060 and the 214270, I find the slimmer profile of the Explorer more comfortable and the bracelet feels much more substantial. The 114060 seem a bit bulky but I've only tried it on for a matter of minutes. Looks much chunkier though.

I have an Explorer 1 and a 14060, for me, the Explorer I is the most comfortable. I do have small wrists.

Comfort of the 14060M and the Explorer 1 39mm is comparable. They have a slightly different feel, and the bracelet of the Exp is slightly heavier, but both are very comfortable to wear all day every day.

I owned the 14060m and 36 Explorer. I would have to say the Explorer by a slight edge.

The Explorer I 114270 is a little bit small for me.
The Sub ND 14060M is the most comfortable compared to the 114060.
However, the most comfortable Rolex that I've ever worn is the Explorer II 16570.

I have owned all three, get the 39mm for comfort, get subc no date, not the 14060, the bracelets on the new models and the color of the steel, plus the improved movement is worth the extra.

I believe that all the watches you mention are very comfortable...i own a gmt ii c, its 143 gr allows me to go running with it on the wrist.

I can't comment on the other two but my 14060M wears very well on my 7 inch wrist, it sits close and low for me.

I have a 114270 and a 14060m and while they are both comfortable, the 114270 is the more comfortable than the 14060M.

I put on my Explorer yesterday after wearing the Sub for about 2-3 weeks and it is a nice change of pace besides being of such a simple, gracile, yet robust design.

I don't have an Explorer, but I have an Explorer II (old style) and its more comfortable than the my 14060M (which is the most comfortable Sub for me)

The old bracelets are dead to me
They have that one extra link non removable on the six side. Kills balance

My exp39mm is perfect

The 39mm explorer or milgauss is the most comfortable, I've yet to try a dj2. I find the new sub bracelets are more comfortable than the old

Sounds like the Explorers, both 36 and 39mm, are very comfortable, with the 14060M a close second.

Now if Rolex decides to lengthen the hands of the 39mm Explorer, will it then be too heavy? ;-)

14060m in either NATO or a leather strap is outrageously comfortable.

I also have a Daytona and it feels like wearing irons in comparison.

I've got an explorer I 39mm and its very comfortable, the easy link extension is amazing for when it gets warm. The head is fairly thin and sleek. And the bracelet is pretty substantial but not too heavy however the clasp itself seems a bit bulky and square in comparison to the sleekness of the rest of the watch but at least it feels heavy duty. I've only tried the 14060 and the 114060 on for a few minutes and I feel the older 14060 was more comfortable. The ceramic model felt a bit bulky and square. Although the 14060's bracelet kind of feels cheap but it's very light so that's a plus. For ultimate comfort, nothing beats a padded leather strap!
