2013 Rolex Service Center Cost?..

With all watchmakers not being able to get Rolex parts what prices are people paying at RSC?.. Post what you have paid and list what you got service or replaced?.. Prices will vary all over the world so let us know where you got your watch serviced at.

I have a similar situation but my watch is in slightly worse shape. The date adjust i have is over 30 years old, pass down from my grand father. I dropped it off for servicing at rolex ad and all they give me is the following quote:

Option 1

Complete overhaul -- $794.39

Other components non-included -- $89.78

Case middle part replacement -- $2,386.36

Case back replacement -- $179.55

Total (including GST) -- $3692

Option 2

Complete overhaul -- $794.39

Other components non-included -- $89.78

Total (including GST) -- $947

Keep in mind that the quote is in SGD. Some how i feel like they're ripping me off. I will get it fixed. It's not money being the issue but the fact is that i don't want to get it fixed and have the vintage rolex lose it vintage look. Can anyone on this forum help and provide some additional advice?

Well case ring certainly have gone up over the years they were just over $1200 now $1,931.

£430 in UK.
The Service documentation says they replace the parts that are deemed necessary to be changed, so I don't think you can itemise what is and what isn't....

I got my Turn-O-Graph back from the Dallas RSC yesterday. They wanted $600 for the service, plus a replacement winding crown (scratched) for $72. I told them Hong Kong RSC wanted $520 for the same service (including the crown). They discounted the service from $600 to $520, but still charged me for the crown. I also paid about $100 for tax and shipping (one way). This is for the 3035 movement with no complications.

The watch looks brand new, and now has a two year transferable warranty.

Just paid $600.00 on the dot to service my wife's midsize. I also paid $600.00 for the service of my sub. I got several extras for my sub such as a new oyster ($1150.00) as I kept the old one and they made me pay $150.00 for that. I got a new bezel insert also and I am not sure but I think it was $150.00 or close too it.

I have just had my Date 15000 serviced at Rolex UK, sent via AD, £370 and it looks brand new, obviously replaced the plexiglass, which is evident, other than that they don't say what other parts have been replaced. Great job though!

Small parts replaced is usually part of major service I think most people are more interested in is?..

1. What major service or re-haul cost
2. Major parts costs
EG: New Bracelet, Outer Case, Bezel, Sapphire Glass or Crown etc these things Rolex would have to give you a price as there probably regarded as major parts

I spoke to both the Beverly Hills and Dallas RSC and the basic service costs $600 or so depending on model. This includes a complete disassembly of the watch, librication of all parts, replace all needed gaskets, reassembly, polishing of the case and bracelet, testing the watch to ensure within COSC specs and meets depth rating. Any parts that need to be replaced in the service are additional.

Just got my d serial gmt master 2 back from the New York rsc a week or two ago. Full service, plus a new bezel and new crown cost me around $800. Hand delivered on the way there, returned by mail. I want to say it took around 5 weeks, which was just about the exact time they quoted when I dropped it off

RSC in UK

I just received a phone call from the RSC in kent and they told me £430 for the a service on my submariner date. I took it in two weeks ago for its first service as its over 10 years old. I chased them up today and gave them the go ahead to carry out the service but will still have to wait around 5 weeks before I get it back.

Well, up until about 3 years ago my local AD who is also certified by Rolex did all my work. His last charge in 2010 was $500 for routine service. He parted ways with Rolex and today has what he calls a "limited" parts account. He will still do small jobs but not complete servicing so now I will be faced with dealing with an RSC. Not sure I want to do that and may turn to Rik or Bob Ridley instead. Not sure they will be cheaper but based upon the stories on TRF I think the work will be quicker and more reliable.

UK. I've just had a quote of £525 for an in house accredited Rolex watchmaker at Goldsmiths Wigan for my four year old Submariner, and the same if they sent it to Kent but much quicker turnaround if they did it.

Interesting that two people on here have said £430 for RCS in Kent, which means that Goldsmiths would charge me £95 for the privelage of them sending the watch for me.

Therefore has anyone in the UK sent their watch directly to RSC and how did they send it?

I queried what Goldsmiths Wigan want (£525) as opposed to what members have been charged recently (£430). They told me price guide for service on a submariner is £455 and they charge an additional £95 for a full case/bracelet refurb. Then send a email saying that it would be an extra £70 if done during a service.

I have queried why £525 when RCS charge £430 and pointed out that RSC include a full refurb as part of the service anyway. They have failed to reply.

Why would I pay nearly £100 more for them to do it than Rolex themselves.

If anything I would have thought it should be cheaper!

I won't be taking it to Goldsmiths Wigan!

a TRF member is selling a vintage daytona that had recently been serviced by an RSC. he showed the invoice, and it said that it was $1275 for a "factory movt. service." do they charge more for a chronograph? or do they charge more because it's old? i guess it would make sense, considering the increased complexity.

I don't like to pay more for a service than the next guy, but what you pay should be inline with the QUALITY of work performed. Certain watchmakers can command a higher price from their ability to perform work superior to RSC. It's not uncommon to see watches come back from RSC with errors/lack of attention to detail....so IMO it's worth investigating if 'Goldsmiths' is worth the extra $$.

I'm not sure on the current service cost but yes chronograph or any with more complications than the base movement gets charged more.
