More on non-COSC Sub Speculation

I've been monitoring 14060M resale prices recently, and have noticed a 10% spike in the past month or so.

So why am I still jonesing for a Sea-Dweller?

Get the SD! You won't regret it. I got the SS Sub Date 1st, but kept thinking about the SD, with its cleaner crystal profile, slightly smaller dial, awesome depth rating, albeit with more heft. I finally pulled the trigger on it this past weekend. The SD is similar in profile to your Sub ND.

Ed, have you tried a Seadweller on ?
I wanted one until the first time I tried it on. The thing just flopped around and wouldnt lie still. Compare that to your "fits like a glove" Sub......

Go for an SD, as well. Although it might look like a 14060M from a distance, the SD sure is a totally different watch altogether, both in size, weight and looks on the wrist:

My (now flipped) SD (have to flip it to get the SS GMT IIc):

The SD relies on proper bracelet sizing more than other models for sure. Spend a few hours wearing it at different pin holes and the effort will be well spent.

I'm liking those SD shots.

Can you tell the difference from 3 feet, and through a 2MP camera phone?

I can't tell from the pic the difference. But the SD makes me smile everytime. My wrist knows it!

Ed, I'm a big fan of the simple elegance of the Sub., but in this case I'm with the SD lovers. It's a special watch with a unique history.

Trying to decide between a Seadweller, a Sub and a Sub Date is about the most common problem for Rolex owners. It took me months to finally decide.
All three are great watches, so I suppose there is no wrong answer.

Thanks Ed!!! The camera's an old Sony I purchased in 2002 a 4 megapixel Cybershot. This thing's ancient technology. Learning from the great photographers on this site, I've learned that shooting at interesting angles (instead of full frontal) help.
