Judd,

Welcome to The Rolex Forums..

When you have 15 posts and 15 days with the forum you will be able to post in our Wanted to buy/sell Forum.

10% off at an AD is pretty good, but on some models you can get as much as 15% off..

If you want to do better, you might look at one of the Grey Dealers around such as Alan Furman, Bernard Watch or Swiss Luxury..

Thanks for the response!

Since you are all experts, is it possible to have a NEW 2001 (K series) Datejust.

Is it possible?

I wouldn't say we were all experts.... But let me address your question.

K models were made from 2001 through 2003, at least..possibly into '04 since they were made concurrently with the Y model released in 02/04 and F models in 03/05.

If a particular piece has been in a Dealers display or back room for a couple of years...then, yes it is possible. I'd say it would be unusual, but not impossible..

I would think that a "K" DJ, either SS or TT would be easily worth $2850.

And if it were either Like New In Box, or Brand New In Box, a very good deal...

But I am not a DJ expert... and you are just feeding tiny bits of information on this watch to us.

I live in the Dallas area as well and 10% + no tax if shipped out of TX is the most that I have been offered. Most of them will say 5% in general. I am surprise that Ben Bridge would give you 10%. If you come across an AD that is willing to sell a sports Rolex for greater than 10%, let me know.

Some ADs will ship to a hotel. Just take a vacation out of state and buy it right before you leave and it will arrive while you are at your destination.

I would have loved a 10% discount on my purchase. I visited several dealers in my area and they all told me no discounts on the sport SS models. So ultimately I purchased my Rolex for MSRP from a locally owned dealer and not a chain.

Good luck!

Sean

Most ADs will not ship an empty box and let you walk out of the store with the watch.
