Submariner screw / screwdriver size?
Does anyone know the size screwdriver needed to adjust the links?
I've got a SS Sub Date (M series) and am looking to buy one to adjust my own links. Best, Nick |

1.4mm flathead screwdriver, with a padded mat so you don't scratch the precious metal, and some fine tweezers.

Eyeglass screwdrivers range from 0.9mm to 1.6mm, so they are fine. You can get PVD coated ones that don't scratch and the tweezers you can protect with a bit of cling film or masking tape around the ends, which improve the grip actually, the masking tape does...

OK - I bought a 1.59 mm (1/16") screwdriver set. Came with others too but, the 1/16 (1.59mm) fits perfectly for my ss sub date. snug in width and perfect in length so as to not have a torque effect and bend the edges of the screw.
Inserted very carefully - works like a charm! Now - I just have to find the right fit for my not small, not big wrist... |
