New or used

Would you buy a seven year old "new" watch or a four year old excellent condition watch. $300 difference in price.

I've not yet bought a used watch and still a little leery of it. It is a discontinued model.

There's nothing wrong buying used watches, better value for your money.
If money not an issue, buy new.

Cannot answer the question.

Are they identical models?

By NOS, I'm assuming it comes with the 2-year warranty?

If so, no doubt NOS.

Even without the warranty, the price is close enough that I'd go NOS.

Like anything in life, history is everything. Unless you know about the used one, it could have been spinning on a watch winder for most of its life wearing itself out, it might not be true but it could have been. If its been serviced recently, no problem, so i'm not saying don't ever buy a used watch its just IMO the NOS will be the better buy in this case. I bought the Pepsi in my avatar and it was 6 years old with full stickers on,no problems.

New Old Stock

You have no idea of the history of the used watch BUT you KNOW the other watch is new!

A 2 year difference is NOTHING in the life of a Rolex watch!
