Did Steve Mulholland Steal my DRSD? S/N # 5298200
I have bought and sold numerous watches here - mostly wholesale them to DavidSW or others because I don't like the retail transaction market.
I sent Steve Mulholland my DRSD in January of this year to repair the lume on the dial and he returned it promptly although the superdome crystal he put on was very foggy and needed to be replaced. I then sent it to him, with all rolex service papers, to sell on consignment which he stated that if he found no seller in 30 days he would return the watch if requested. This was March 6, 2013. The deal was he could keep anything over $15,000. He stated he had found a buyer who was taking the watch to Rolex New York - Steve a week or so later said the buyer wanted a correct caseback and he was getting one and the deal would be done. The last email response I received from Steve was April 4, 2013 where he stated he was still waiting on a new caseback. I have received sporadic text messages from Steve about his personal issues but none address the status or location of my watch. I have demanded the watch or payment multiple times with no response. Any ideas here for me? I am having my attorney contact the Holiday Florida police and report the watch as stolen in the morning. Any help or influence that could be brought here would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I am sorry to hear about this news. Steve is banned from TRF so I am not sure who has kept in touch with him since. If I remember correctly I may have seen Steve list something for sale on VRF not too long ago. Please keep us updated on your status. I hope this gets resolved quickly.
Btw: he has a Facebook account, and he posted your DRSD for sale there on march 2nd for 17k. |

I remember seeing Steve here many, many times when I first joined TRF years ago. I never had any interaction with him, but he seemed like a regular contributor to many posts. So this is a surprise to hear.
Out of sheer nosy-ness and curiosity, why was he banned? |

He is still allowed and very active over at Vintage Rolex Forum - try to get his attention that way. You may want to start with consulting the moderators because they are very protective of their sellers over there.
I, for one, would never do business with that individual. Some forum research would have discovered that this is a common opinion. I do hope you get your watch and/or money back. Keep us posted! |

I agree Patrick never would I do a deal with him, his response to that bad deal last year was so disappointing. It's sad when a once good seller goes completely bad.

Steve was banned here. He is not an individual I would ever do business with.
I hope you get your issue resolved. As others have said he is very active on VRF. best of luck and let us know how it turns out |

That's a shocker - good luck in getting matters resolved.
Contrary to a couple of comments above, Steve isn't very active on VRF - in fact, he barely posts there these days.

Hope you manage to get things sorted, I contacted SM a couple of years back regarding a Red 1680, just getting a response to an email was a headache & certainly didn't install any confidence.

That bankruptcy report link says was filed in 2009, so guess an old one.
All the best with getting back your money OP, quite a few forumers have been raising red flags about him for quite a while now and took him off the vintage seller list http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=180461 last year after an incident and banning here, hope he resurfaces with your DRSD, keep us updated.
