Great pics Dalip, and would also be my choice of the two in question!

At one point owned a 15300 and a Diver, sold them both to fund a business.
Miss the 15300 the most, to me it is one of the best all rounders out there and with a history, which is important to me. I would do a 15400 first.

Either that or you're going to have to buy yourself an actual yacht

This one is imo really easy to sort out, if you knows that you only going to buy one AP, then i would buy the RO , it´s imo more elegant, timeless, and this is definitely a watch that you can let to in generations, i would bet that the RO you are looking for is one of the watches that AP will change the design in for less, in 20 years from here. So imagine that you son or daughter will graduate within 10-25 years, this is a perfect gift to give then.
If you believe that you are starting a long journey, and will end up with a few pieces within a few years i would take the diver over the RO now, IMO will the diver be more difficult to come by as time goes. And mate, this is just my opinion, in no offending way, i hope that which one of these you choose you will be more than happy, and btw, the diver comes up in pin buckle? Go for the Wempe scuba or anything else with folding clasp, im allergic to pin buckle..;) |

Gahhh ... Still unable to make a decision. I was pretty set on the Diver ... then I wore my 233 for a full day and that gave me some pause ... I felt worn out, I craved a lighter watch ... but I do love the Diver ... Maybe like some said ... 233 + Diver is not a good combo, albeit a very sweet one!
It's agonizing ... knowing that no matter the choice, it will be wrong :)

Wow Hal, those pics might have tipped the scale! I would have put money on your choice being the 15400...

Now you know. Get that Diver, I promise you won't regret it. It's a very comfortable, versatile watch with a ton of wrist presence.

I love them both and have a silver 15400 and the diver, hard to beat the diver but for dressier occasions the 15400 wins hands down, go with your gut first up won't be your last!
