would like to know do i need to change the date manually when comes to short month on the rolex perpectual oyster dj? thanks!

Yes indeed.

Your DJ has a 31 day calendar that just clicks through each day one-at-a-time.

Not only will you have to manually change it in February (29 days this year), you will need to change it in every month that does not have 31 days..

I just been told by my watch repairman yesterday that Patek has ability to skip date on the sort month. You need to set your Patek once every 100 years. Assume that you keep your watch running all the time. Try that ROLEX!

Welcome to TRF!~ The difference is the size of the case. The DATE is 34mm and the DATEJUST is 36mm. There are also many more variations in the DJ with different dials and bezel combos. I personally like larger mm watches (ie, EXPLOER II 39mm, Sub No Date 40mm) they fit better on my large wrist. The best thing to do is to go to your AD and try them on.

Yes. That's why it's called a Datejust. You have to adJUST it at the end of every month.
