Icon7 Let's see our Submariners/Sea-Dweller's in Action!

Let's see some pics and stories of our Submariners and Sea Dweller's in action. How many of you guys dive? I got my Naui certification back in '86. My first real dive trip was the next year in Cancun. The pic is of me on my first night dive. One of the coolest things I have ever done. Scared the crap out of me at the time. Damn, that young guy looks pretty good!

My last trip was 2 years ago. My wife had an amazing year for her company and they sent us to Fiji for 10 days. Unbelievable trip. Diving was a little cloudy because of a big rain storm stirred up the water by the reef. Was still great!

Let's hear some stories and see some pics!!

Cool stuff David.

I'm planning on doing a complete SCUBA course by May this year. I'll be doing it with my trusty 16610, and 16710, and 16750... and maybe a SD too!!

A little cloudy??? David, my last few dives have been equipment retrievals on the bottom Hamilton Harbour. At 30' viz is zero because of the silt/sludge. It's all done by feel.

You're diving in Paradise there!

Great pics, David, but I'd hazard to guess that 95% of Sea Dweller/Submariner owners don't dive.

SD in Galapagos

Sub Date in Palau

TT Blue Sub in Bonaire

Last (and also least), SD on a quarry dive in Pennsylvania

I only have photos from the last five years. My ex-wife kept the others, along with my scuba gear. But I kept my watches!

Great pics Subfiend!

It's true that most Sub owners don't dive. On the Doxa forum a large # do as it's more of a "tool" watch and there are several forum members who are professionals.

Al, That's why I don't dive in Minnesota. One I couldn't see my hand in front of my face in many lakes and two, after looking at Subfiends last pic of him in a wetsuit looking like he is freezing his cahonia's off, I only dive where it's warm!

I was asked once if holding your breath underwater in the bathtub while wearing your watch count as diving?

Sure as long as you can do it for over 5 minutes!

Keep the pics coming..

Nice Sub, Paulie! And as far as I remember it's been running immaculately for many years without service?

i do not dive with my sub, i think majority of them use it for show off reasons, my life depend on a dive computer and gauges when i am down and under instead of the sub, besides why put your precious sub in the salt water it just doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks Bo. It's 7-1/2 yrs old. I check it's accuracy on the first of every month with my Casio that's hooked up to the atomic clock. On the first of every month it's only 30-40 seconds slow at the absolute most. Every month it's like this.

I'm afraid to have it serviced because I'd hate to lose that kind of accuracy. Plus it ain't broke, so I ain't fixin it

I recently participated in a rescue operation with my sub. A locomotive had gone off the track and had become completely submerged. Visibility was ok, but the water was very cloudy.

I have had similar life and death rescues myself. No train wrecks but did have to save Dora from the the evil attack of an angry Barbie!

i have dived the poor nights in new zealand to 40m with my 5513, dived the hmas swan in gold steel blue sub approx 30m, my SD has yet to go for a decent dive prob only been 6-10m for some crays with him..its time will come!
All my watches have been to plenty of fires and car wrecks, made to be used i reckon! The best bit is they can handle whatever you throw at them..
