Honda has announced they will once again be engine supplier to McLaren in 2015. See either website for details

While it's good in itself to have more engine manufacturers involved in Formula One, the return of Honda to partner Mclaren adds that extra touch of excitement for me.

Time will tell if the new version of McLaren Honda will be as dominant as before.

realistically, I do not think they will be competitive in 2015. They will need a couple of years for the car and engine to 'harmonize' and work. Except if McLaren delivers a Brawn-esque car whereby they could just bolt on the engine and the car is a world beater.

Lets not forget last time they were in F1 they made the least powerful motors but had great chassis, just ask Ross Brawn, when he got the chance to strap a Mercedes instead of a Honda in......... I don't expect them to hang around too long, Honda still is not in the best health. With the current Chassis at McLaren they will either win because the motor is the best or slip down to the back markers, it has the smell of their short and sad relationship with Peugeot as a sole supplier. We think of McLaren as bulletproof but just as Williams and Tyrell before them, the slide down is much quicker than the rise up. I suspect McLaren has plenty of other things to occupy their time including making cars and industrial consulting. If the cars dont stay sharp and the big $ sponsors disappeared they would exit quickly. It is tough competing against a man who sells 4c drinks for $4 and the Italian governments support of Ferrari.

Monaco may sometimes be a procession with there being little or no opportunity to overtake...but tactics will hopefully make for an interesting race around the extremely tight and unforgiving circuit.

Honda..........don't they make motorbikes ......I seem to remember riding a few (far be it for me to admit to having owned several) in the days where I proudly wore my TT Tag-Heuer & Pulsar Quartz

Of course I only ride Ducatis these days

Has anyone noticed at Monaco there are huge signs for both "Rolex" and "Tag-Heuer" across the track......I bet someone or a few are a bit snappy about that

Yeah I noticed that Steve. Seems that TAG has a sponsorship with ACM (AUTOMOBILE CLUB DE MONACO). Got some nice info on the TAG website about their history with F1. A pic of Lauda.

I thought today's Monaco race was great - a lot of passing and drama in the pack compared to most years.

As for Honda, I am glad they are back but I honestly don't expect much. Their last 2 years in F1 were really subpar performance wise and the "green" themed car was not only slow, it was just hideous visually.

Great race today in Monaco! Drama was great! Can't wait for the Canadian GP, I've got seats for the Senna Corner!

its a great move. they were always an engine company first imo.

bodes well for their overall return as a 'drivers' car company again. it will coincide with the new nsx launch and their long awaited move to step back from vanilla and let others make rentals cars.

With the new engine rules package, Honda is just as likely to produce great power plants as the others IMHO.

Good news, I used to drive a 1985 Prelude, a great little car, even w/ front wheel drive.

i had an 84 too! last year for carb and the pop up lights never failed, even with snow and ice on the car for days. the body died before the engine and drivetrain.
