I prefer a date feature on my watches but I would not trade that watch.

I would never, ever trade or sell that watch, stunning. If you have any second thoughts and you obviously do then you know that you'd regret it.

I like the date idea.....
I would not sell a plexi to buy a sapphire. A 1665 would possibly entice me to trade a 5513 but a great 5513 is still worth keeping.

I see the MF 5513 as a better investment especially since the popularity of the early 5513s over the years has increased i think it will be harder to source a 5513 as beautiful as yours compared to getting an SD. All sums up to you Good luck with the deal

Sapphire SDs in similar condition as your 5513 are far easier to find. 5513s in the condition of yours have become very hard to find and very expensive.

You only provided us a pic of the 5513 - which is easy to drool over - its a beautiful watch! I'd be interested in seeing the SD in question as well.
Do you have a pic to share of the SD? (if you want to share more of the 5513 I would be okay with that as well :) |

Wow, your 5513 looks even better in the second photo! Great patina, nice fat case! You would regret ever getting rid of that watch. They're getting harder and harder (and more expensive) to find like that. The modern Sea-Dwellers, while great, are just a lot easier to get, and not as cool as your 5513, IMHO.

I have discovered as I age that the days are all very much alike. Keeping track of the date seems conformist, if not compulsive. I routinely date things "1982" and no one seems to notice...
