Rolex Submariner strap problem

I have a rolex submariner. It is about 13 years old. The clasp on the watch strap is giving me problems. The clasp stays locked, but the one end pops up all the time. It won't stay closed. It is pretty annoying and tends to get caught on clothes, etc.

Can I just take it to any watch store to get it repaired?

There is a Rolex Authorized Repair place right near me in Chicago. Can they fix it? I assume it just needs a new clasp.

Any recommendations. Is there any easy fix. Here is a photo. It isn't this bad most of the time, but I wanted to be clear about what area of the strap is giving me problems.

I would suggest taking that in to RSC or AD asap.

I would just have the RSC put on a new clasp.

Over a decade old, and being worn regular its bound to have some wear and tear, so maybe time for a refurbish/renew with new parts?

This "problem" is exacerbated by how you have attached the bracelet to the clasp. I think.

Try removing a link and then moving the micro-adjustment on the clasp to the other end of the adjustment holes. It reduces the length of the cantilever with the clasp and will reduce/eliminate the issue.

Exactly what I was thinking. It threw me for a min as I don’t have a sub and no diver’s extension so I wasn’t sure what I was looking at. Then I got my GMT II and looked at the micro adjustment holes. The diver extension is adjusted too far forward… remove links as ecsub has suggested and move to holes towards the tail of the clasp. Easy fix with a safety pin and a 1.6mm Cut-out Screw Driver

Exactly right.

Here is how mine is set up and adjusted for my wrist:

In the below picture, the left side stays where it is, and the dive extension goes into one of the holes on the right.

Here is a shot closing the dive extension. Note the second link with the hook will attach to the clasp when you close it. You'll need to put some pressure on the junction and you will be rewarded with a "click":

Dive extension closed:

It can be a little mind-bending trying to figure this out but I tried to show it as simply as I could.

I had the same thing happen on my Sub a few years back. The local AD tried unsuccessfully to fix it. They then replaced the clasp for $200. I couldn’t be happier.

What he said. I've seen this problem "rectified" by squashing the corners of the clasp inward under the bracelet...Shame the person responsible didn't ask on here.

Your bracelets clasp may, or may mot need replacing based on how badly it's worn etc. However, as a few other responders have mentioned....your issue is directly related to having been over adjusted on the clasp. In other words, I think you need to remove some links, and then slip out the micro adjustments to get the pins back on the right side of the clasp

Agree - or remove the diver's extension (if not needed) and move bracelet outwards, that should also work.

removing diver extension is not an option.

Ecsub44, nailed it

This issue was addressed with the 93250 clasp... An alternate fix, You could try to source a clasp off the newer bracelet, it will fit directly on your 93150 bracelet.
