Older Rolex watch. Trying to get information on age and value
I inherited this watch from my father, I was told it is a 1944 model. Is there anyone out there who can tell me if this is true? I know the band is wrong, would it be a leather band? I appreciate any info. thank you

Bubbleback. Nice. Band could be period-appropriate, I don't know those. Dial has been repainted.
