Daytona
Newbie to the board and I was given a gift of a Daytona Cosmograph, gold with gold bracelet (#116528, bracelet 78498). Tag has a serial no. starting with Y and 6 numbers. Anyone know the approx date of manufacture? If this is a few years old, anyone know whether it is worth more than a 2007 model and what I could expect to get if I sell (2007 MSRP $25,500). Thanks

A "Y" model would be from 2002/04..
But I think you can find gold Daytonas at most AD's for MSRP or less - lot's less..

Welcome and enjoy the forum.

I know that my local Ad will discount the gold Daytona, so you $25,000 price tag is way off.

Welcome to TRF!
Your Daytona would not be worth more than a current one, so you should expect to lose a bit on selling it, I'm afraid. But you can try selling it here, as soon as you have been a member for 15 days and have writtten 15 posts. Place to sell it is the Classifieds Section. Best of luck!

I appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of the watch but I can't see myself wearing a solid gold watch. I expect I could sell it at 30-40% off of MSRP but I am not an AD so the higher discount is what I may have to give. Thanks to all. I may sell in the classifieds.
