Great match and a fabulous victory for Murray. There was a lot of pressure on him to win.

It has been an Amazing weekend for the English.........

The Welsh delivered them a Lions victory
A Scotsman won them a Wimbledon title
And A Zimbabwean is leading Le Tour on their behalf......

OK so we Aussies are still hurting over the rugby. It just felt a bit wrong being at the stadium hearing Sweet Chariot when there were only 2 English in the run on team.

Amazing to see his talent transformed from introspective anger to supreme professionalism. Very happy for him.

When I was younger I was very pro British, I always wanted the rest of the UK to do well in any endeavour undertaken, however the constant anti English chipping from the rest of the home countries (anyone but England) has taken it's toll, some of the comments in this thread are a case in point. Today, I don't regard myself as British, I'm English, as I am often reminded by those from the other countries within the UK, and TBH, I'm proud of that fact. Tis a shame.

The only such comments I can see are from people in Australia....

Would that be the "Zimbabwean" that has a British passport, whose father was British, born in Kenya and went to school in South Africa?

Let us not forget Ivan Lendl's contribution, and Murray's wisdom and grace involving him in the first place. Lendl's incredible professionalism, determination, discipline, skills and no non-sense approach has brought out the best out of Murray's undeniable talent.
Big day in Wimbledon's history.
