anyone ever get a 422/423/372 brushed?

i love all 3 watches. i was almost thinking if i ever get one i would send it to rikki to have him brush the case/bezel protector etc....

any thoughts?

I'd probably leave the bezel polished but the case would look nice brushed. Easy enough to reverse.

I like them with standard stock finish.
Would probably look good though. As Mike said, I'd leave the bezel polished (different case but similar to the finish you'd see on a 233, 127, 312 etc..).

a 372 with brushed case will imo be better than the Original

Keep in mind the 372/422 is a reissue of the 6152/1 and as such the case is supposed to be polished.

lmao. no im not talking about blackin it out...
but it would be "acceptable" considering pam makes a lot of models with the treatment or in ceramic.. im just not into that much of a HUGE undertaking on a really pricey watch that will no doubt kill the resale...

brushing/polishing is a more subtle easily reversible mod imo. that doesnt involve de casing the movt etc....

i just might have to be that guy.....

To be done right, you should disassemble the watch.

i dont see it as to much of a problem considering they make brushed models and lets face it. all of the models in the same range look the same.... (to non wis that is. lol)

It's your watch, so, do what you want, but, as has been said, it would be less historically accurate, if that sort of thing matters to you. If done, I would love to see the result (maybe first just brush the case and not the bezel?).

I agree with the majority of comments above - it is a terrible idea! I would leave it stock and pick a different model if you want brushed.

That said it's your watch (and your money you would be throwing down the drain) so go ahead if you makes you happy.

since you put it that way! lol.

yeah, i would probably chicken out since i tend to buy models/brands that i can "easily" sell without much of a loss if needed. and changing it would definately affect that factor. even if someone liked the way it looked, they would probably be put off of buying it because it has been tampered with....

I don't know what PASC's position is on altered case finishes when getting service. Just another point to consider.
