I ran across this interview with Hoffman, regarding his role as Dorothy Michaels in the film "Tootsie." It's an amazing insight into the way an actor as versatile as Hoffman develops his characters.

But, as interesting as Hoffman is in his description of his role, I had to watch several times trying to figure out what watch he is wearing.

The bracelet is of the Jubilee style, although it appears that the a straight end link.

The watch head reminds me of a Yachtmaster, but I can't be sure.

Anyone up to the challenge?

Too hard to tell, vid not in HD.

Reminds me of my old Tag F1. Had a jubilee bracelet and the whole face was illuminous.

If I'm not mistaken he's had that watch a long time. I think he wore it in Marathon Man.

If it's the same as in Marathon Man, then it's a Pepsi bezeled GMT per Watches in Movies and Jake's blog...

Those aren't the same watches, as the one in the interview has a white dial.

Hoffman also wore a Rolex in "The Graduate," by the way.
