Doesn't my Bluesy have a gold bezel? It may have an aluminum insert, but the bezel itself is gold...

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noble_metal:
"In physics the definition of a noble metal is even more strict. It is required that the d-bands of the electronic structure are filled. Taking this into account, only copper, silver and gold are noble metals, as all d-like band are filled and don't cross the Fermi level. For platinum two d-bands cross the Fermi level, changing its chemical behaviour; it is used (in contrast to e.g. gold) as a catalyst." Don't worry, I'm just stirring I still think Platty is an awesome watch

So there's no question about gold being a noble metal even by a strict definition. There is a slight question about platinum depending on what your definition of noble is. This of course means that BLUESY (or BLACKSY) is the one with the noble bezel!!

The bezel (serrated bit) is solid 18 K gold, but the insert is anodised Aluminium just like in the TT Sub.
With the Platty, the WHOLE bezel and insert are made of precious metal, i.e. YG or Pt. JJ

So does that mean the bezel of a YM is completely solid with no inserts like the Subs and GMTs?

It's not so much the YACHT-MASTER II on the bezel that bothers me.....as the stupid blue horseshoe on the dial!!
