Was out earlier today and after looking at my watch several times, I noticed that time seemed to be standing still....which is because the watch was standing still, it had stopped!

I would it 40 times before leaving this AM, but tried again, nothing. She is dead, off to RSC she goes, grr...fortunately it is still under warranty and I live close to an RSC, so no postage expenses or worries.

Same thing happened to my wifes T serial YM! Its at the RSC in Toronto as well....Since June the 4th

Yeah, I'm thinking that's what happened here as well, this thing won't even hint at a tick, deader than a doornail....

lots of these popping up lately, what gives....
Dr Qadri's GMT2c with a similar mvmnt also died today.
these are new watches, rolex needs to get there qc in order, these things aint getting any cheaper.
plz give us an update when it's resolved.

My Explorer has died twice since I purchased it in early June, 2011. Repaired both times under warranty but very annoying. You should have in back in 3-4 weeks. Good thing, at least, the folks at Dallas RSC are very nice and great to work with. But there'll be no word on what was wrong.

Good luck. And you're other watches will enjoy the extra attention.

Just had a look at the warranty paper, it's a good thing it failed now: there are only a few months left on the warranty!

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you should have wound it 40 times instead of "would it" 40 times.

Did you try banging it on the table a few times? I tried that method with my Harmony One remote when it stopped responding. Turns out that method is not recommended with electronics.

It probably wouldn't work with expensive watches either. I hope you get her back quickly.

My YM suddenly died last year. Because RSC had seen it fairly recently for service, Dallas took care of it. They never told me what the problem was, but it works and it was free to fix (other than the hassle of being without it).

My imagination or is this happening more than usual...I have been a Rolex owner since 1988 and apart from a street brawl in London over one I have never had a problem with any...ever.

....please do not ask about my Panerai....never again!

Lol, I can vouch for the fact that Harmony One remotes do not like hard impacts! Very convenient, but not the most robust remotes out there...anyway, thanks!

This is a reminder that buying any new watch which is not cheap by the way ... it is always better to buy with an original warranty, otherwise take the risk of any problems cropping up.

The amount saved buying preloved often outweighs a full service. I rather buy preloved, send the watch in and still save money.

No its not if any warranty work is done the owner does not pay and the warranty is just that a warranty for that time period its not extended.Now if you pay for a full service then you will get a two year warranty after.
