Thanks for the responses! I've decided to keep the 16710. It's been a good companion all of these years. I'm pretty sure that I will go for the 16760 or 116760 but need a little bit of time to review the model differences/market price. I may need to ask Fremstar to let me borrow a 36m piece for a in home trial

I would go with option 2. I always wanted a 16710 Pepsi and I was finally able to get one about 6 months ago. I love the watch , but I wanted something flashier. I recently purchased a 16613 and I love the option of wearing some gold when I want to stand out. I went from not even owning 1 watch to 2 dream (to me) Rolex's in 6 months.
Having two great watches to choose from is the way to go. IMHO |

hmmm tough call. IMO if there is any personal connection with your 16710 then i would not sell it. as that might cause some heart ache down the road.
just curious with the budget of 6-10k would you be open to other brands or is it only Rolex you want? welcome to TRF look forward to chatting with you on the boards |

Keep the GMT and look at the DJ II. Many options and it would compliment the one you have.

Add to your collection! For me it's nice to wear whatever I am feeling. I open the cabinet and select one off the winder. Always ready to wear!

I would definitely not sell the GMT. I made the mistake of selling my sub to fund another purchase...regretted it immediately and bought it back at a small loss. Lesson learned the hard way.

To me option 1 would be a definite no, as with option 3. Number 2 seems the most sensible of the options.

Though some say nothing we say is important or should be considered by you because you have to make your own decision, I don't think that statement is necessarily correct... Allow me to explain, Though you do have to choose for yourself, we can give ideas and opinions that when you consider them, they may provide you with additional opportunities, options, and paths you may not have considered before reading our posts - so, what we say can be important and help you make your decision. The more information and opinions and ideas and experiences you read here, the more available choices you'll have from which to choose yourself, therefore, we can be of benefit and you can still have your own independent choice. Just my two cents. |

Keep the 16710. The 216570 is not known for "flair"; now a smurf has flair; the hulk is a great choice and will not break the bank compared to the smurf.

Hang on to that GMT for sure. Trust that you will regret selling it.
Take your time and get another watch. Rotations keep it interesting. |

Shopping with Sam is the equivalent of going to a bar to have a drink and saying i'll have a shot of...everything. LOL!
Thankfully he has a few 36mm pieces to try out. I'm pretty set on the 118238 with a white dial but may swing for the 18238. It all depends on how far to stretch the budget. Thanks again for the insight folks! |
