According to TRF I would say the 116610 remains to be the most " popular" IMO.

If you're speaking most popular new models, the the BLNR is certainly in the running, as is the steel YMII, even if the latter is still cost-prohibitive for many. Both have created a lot of buzz.

If you're talking the whole line, I'm sure that Subs and DJs reign supreme.

"Popular" is such a subjective word.

SS tool watches seem to be highly favored on TRF but the TT DJ w/ fluted bezel and jubilee band is probably the most recognized Rolex by the general public...

I think so too, as represented by every airport/sporting event Rolex clock, a fluted bezel DJ type watch.

As a BNLR owner, I love it... BUT...

For overall popularity though, IMHO, the black Sub, or TT DJ fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet take the cake. By a long shot. Not even close.

Thats fine with me. ;-)

The new blue/black GMT has created some interest on the Forum but we are unrepresented here compared to the world market and the Rolex model range is huge.
I'd say it will probably sell just like the old GMT coke.

These would be quite popular?

The DJ likely is the most popular model (or now the DJII, I don't know).

The Date Sub (116610) very possible is the single best selling model number.

Ok, so popular does not mean the latest and greatest. The last time I checked, about 80% of GMT lovers rather have the classic black ceramic.

Popular = ubiquitous

Therefore, the Submariner is the most popular (western world)

In Asia the DJ rules.

The black blue is actually the opposite of popular. Very rare.

16610 is to Rolex as 911 is to Porsche.

You nailed it Richard. Nothing comes close to the sales of the DateJust.

If I could only pick one I would say a Submariner. DateJust II is right behind it.
