14060 help
Hi I just received a new 14060 from Dad,not the first Rolex from him and not the last I hope he's 77.The first was an Explorer in 1972 I was 11,still have it never will sell it ,it's priceless. Now heres the problem he shipped the watch from the U.S and is bringing the manual and boxes home next month. So I was wondering if anyone has set up instructions so I can use my new watch? Thanks Andrew

Hi Andrew, welcome aboard from Hamilton!
Setup is pretty straightforward on the 14060. Unscrew the crown to the first position and wind it 40 turns or so, pull the crown all the way out and set the time, then push the crown all the way in and screw it back down. Put on wrist. Enjoy. P.S. if the bracelet needs to be resized, your local AD (Howard Manufacturing Jewellers or Jubilee Fine Jewellers) or any good watchmaker can do it.

Wow great link. Dad shipped the watch Thurs and it should be here by monday .I think he might have sent me the wrong photos because he said the watch was a Quickset Sub.That would mean a datejust watch I think? While he was at it he bought my sister a mid sized datejust ss she already has a ladies 18K white gold president. He's crazy but gotta love him.

When I got a 14060M it came with the Chrono tag too (I didn't complain). Since these things are all added by the AD, I suspect they just toss all the same stuff in a Rolex box without a lot of thought..

FWIW- Both of my Subs (SS & TT) came with the red tags along with the anchors (several years ago). I guess every AD passes along different things.

My 14060m came with a chrono tag.
I am hoping that Rolex will retire the model VERY soon. Probably 2013 though.
