How hard is it to choose your favorite everyday?

I've been re-jiggering my watch collection over the last few months and love how it's shaping up but it has created a new issue: which watch to wear?

When you love them all, it's like choosing a favorite kid:-(

How do you all cope with this daily dilemma?

I give them all equal time. If not then they probably need to be flipped.

If there were a favorite I wouldn't own more than one I think. So I just go back and forth based on my needs.
If it can't find a way into rotation than I must not like it, away it goes. I don't "collect" or "invest" in safe queens, I buy watches I love to wear.

Easy they all get worn and part of rotation. Some get a bit more wrist time but all get their day!!

Now I have my Explorer nothing else gets a look in, but it is my only "premium" watch, the rest cost hundreds rather than thousands.

I divide my watches between work day watches and weekend watches. But its still a daily headache to choose. One way is to match with outfit.

I used to rotate almost religiously...... But now just cherry pick for the occasion and often wear the same watch for 3- 4 days on the trot......crazy... I know ......

I give it very little thought.

The Rolex watches get the most wear by far and I wear them according to no rhyme or reason.

The lesser watches get less wear and I wear the ones that have a good battery at any given time, when the notion to strikes me to wear a lesser watch.

Well I'm stuck with my SD for a year while in Afghanistan and LOVE every day when I put it on. I change NATO straps once a week so it's really like I have four watches.

Not a huge number to select from, but all winners in my book. I just change up every few days, or weeks, or swap a strap/bracelet and keep it 'fresh' like that.

I can be random, sometimes I will wear one for a week or two straight, then I will rotate, and some days I will start a day with one and end with another. Today is a DJII day, yesterday was DSSD up until around 6 then the DJII went on, who knows what tomorrow will bring tho, I have my PAM 005 and my two Citizen Eco Drives to add in the mix.

I go through moods. Thats why I never ever sell any of my top tier watches. I may favor one watch for a month but weather, clothing, changes and I get a need to wear the others. Then I am on those watches for awhile. Its a yearly cycle. Anytime I see someone ask if they should sell "whatever brand" watch that they have only owned for a few months makes my cringe. The newness of a watch always wears off. You will bleed money for years if you try to maintain the new watch buzz. The real classics are the watches you want to wear when you have owned them for a few years and develop some history with it.

For those who get bored (as often happens), I wonder how many sell older models in order to rotate the cash. I have two and hope to be satisfied for 10 years, have no plans to sell if I get hooked on a new piece down the road, but who knows?

I have no system in place really, I have 3 on a monthly rotation and then randomly pick one of the three to wear.

Fairly easy for me since I have only two, a TT DJ and an EXPII. I'm retired so the EXPII is my daily wearer as I bike, hike, do yardwork, play tennis etc. The DJ goes on for dress up and other special occasions.

I rotate based upon weather, anticipated activities and outfit which are more times than not, inter-related.

If I am in a suit and tie, especially with a tightly cuffed shirt, the 36mm DD, 36mm DJ or the Daytona typically get the nod with the DD (bark) reserved for special occasions. Casual dress (or is it "dress-casual?") brings out of the the GMTs. The DSSD is just about exclusive to casual clothes and short sleeved shirts.

I usually rotate only every week or three so I'm not really stressing over the decision on a daily basis.

I just wear whatever floats my boat on a given day. I have 7 watches but only one Rolex. So, that is probably the one that gets the most attention. That and my Seiko GMT that is my beater.

For work, either my 36mm YG DJ or 36mm explorer......for casual subs & explorer 2s.
For hard play...my Casio G-Shock.
Not hard, not rocket science, not brain surgery.
