Doesn't look appealing just based on the pic. Looks like color mismatch.

Well maybe it's targeting the color blind segment of the population.
Color blindedness is quite common among Lbj fans.

LOL true.

It's one thing if he created that piece, 1 off for HIM… But not for the mass consumers of the brand

Ridiculously over sized in my opinion. Honestly, the recent (few years) ROO line has turned me off. I was a ROO collector in the past (now I just stick to RO's because they are simplistic, elegant and beautiful).. Today's Offshores are just big, bulky and gaudy. I remember when the classic original 42mm Rubberclad's were considered "big".. now they are beauties of the past compared to what's out there today. Such a shame because I won't buy another one.

Agreed, however, I do think this 44 line is beautiful in it's own respect…

Think about when LE's came out, with wilder crown/pusher , design, size.. Everyone loved it

Now it's evolved into that, and no love? I don't get it

I love my 44 Rose Gold, and it fits me perfectly… Not too big at all and I don't have the biggest wrists, but I am a big guy lol

I just dislike the non stop LE production

Anyway, any news about Novak edition?
I was at the watch and wonders watch show in HK yesterday. Rep at AP booth told me the contract with Novak was for two years and they have mutually decided not to renew so no I am afraid that there will be no Novak watch coming out

AP should stop making LE's for a bunch of random people. For me a reason to start doubting the brand.

AP as a brand is just not as strong as the likes of PP and Rolex, they closed quite a few boutiques in China and seems like having to come up with LEs every year to help selling the watches.

And seriously, besides the ROs and the ROOs, does anybody really care about the brand?

Closing some points of sale was a strategic move.

That's essentially the color scheme of the RG Schumi and I am a fan of that. I can't wait to see the LBJ in person this sat at watches and wonders exhibition in HK.

I think it's 44mm model. He's tall but not big wristed judging by pics.. actually 44 RG novelity looks smaller on 6'0 tall people from this forum...

Yes, grey and gold can work well and also does on the RGRC but doesn't look so good here, not enough contrast, grey needs to be darker.

Why make a lebron is it based at the american market, surely this watch will not be popular in Europe or Asia
I knew of AP
but there Golf tennis ambassador's for me cement the values of AP and a luxury brand and as i play golf, sort natural progression to go out and buy one
Theres no LE from a golfer/ tennis of AP and appeal to much wider audience
Dont as a brand think that celebs sell watches or a sportsman linked with a sport ingrained in the US unless its only really for that market
Quality design traditions make a luxury brand

i dont know if i totally understand where people are coming from, based on comments like 'dragging the brand down', etc...

i dont have an AP yet...i have several rolex watches that i love...the fact that they make some truly hideous, over-the-top monstrosities that i cant even imagine the intended market for doesnt make me love my sub, gmt II, etc. any less.

i dont were the watches because of the image of the brand but because i love the watches. as long as AP continues to make models that DO appeal, isnt that the most imperative thing?

Just saw press pics... like I said before, it screams for Schumi bezel with bigger/outside screws... and there is no enough contrast between tapiseree and dial numbers so gold arabic numbers dont stand out...

Plus a lot of the LE are just a different color combo nothing more than that, I don't understand the strategy at all

I think the reason people are saying it's dragging the brand down, which by the way I totally agree
with, is because they keep putting out different LE monstrosities, while claiming to be haute
horology! Sure rolex has made some things I'd never wear, but I never see limited editions of the
sub come out, larger, and uglier, year after year. But rolex isnt haute horology. I love ap, I really want a ro, but they are IMO
tarnishing their brand. Do you see this happening with any of the others? Pp, vc, jlc and so many others? If ALS ever puts out the LE Michael phelps datograph, what would you think they were doing?
