I also have owned both, and hands down prefer the 116613. The solid bracelet, weight, clasp, maxi dial, and ceramic bezel makes it the Sub of the future. I like the more modern look.

I would try both of them on and see which one you love more. Maybe reevaluate your current collection but not if you have your heart set on one of the tt subs just go for it.

Agreed with this as well. I had a choice between the matte blue and royal blue 116613LB and went with the former. Both are superb, just went with my heart. I also had the 16613lb but definitely prefer the new ceramic version.

16613 for me. I think the gold on the aluminum bezel somehow looks better with the dial than the "yellow" writing on the ceramic. And knowing the bezel insert can be completely replaced for 75 dollars means it will always look like new.

To my knowledge they will not fit as the 16613 lugs are slightly wider. Also the new G series bracelets are near impossible to obtain by themselves.

Having trouble making the same decision. I have the 16613, but kind of want the 116613. I go back and forth everyday

Coming from someone that has owned 4 "old" Sub variants and then a DSSD & Sub-C, absolutely ZERO question in my mind - NEW Sub-C. I was excited for the new Subs mainly for the clasp seeing as the only thing I didn't really like about the older version was the cheap beyond cheap (albeit very functional) stamped clasp (absolutely no way any argument/defense will EVER convince me that the old clasp is good...I don't care how many years they were on Subs, they are just plain WRONG and ALWAYS let that amazing watch down from a quality standpoint).

Then when you consider things like the spring loaded ball bearing system under the hard as nails ceramic bezel (w/ awesome recessed numerals...yep, no more scratching your numbers off your bezel as w/ the old Sub), the larger maxi-markers & hands (translation - GREAT night lume vision), anti-reflection coating under the cyclops, and chunkier case (I actually really like the more chiseled lugs & crown guards...looks more sporty IMO...and that's what I want out of a dive watch), the already mentioned killer clasp (w/ amazing micro-adjustment capability on the fly), not to mention the movement upgrades, there's just no question in my mind that the Sub-C is an all around improvement over the last iteration Sub.

But ultimately, if you don't like the look compared to the old version, then I would say get the one that makes you smile when you look at it. Then again, you may find that the new version will quickly grow on you. Good luck.

Buy the 116613...you'll never look back. It will only be a matter of time before that flimsy rattling clasp irritates you enough to where you'll finally throw in the towel and say, "Damn, I'm just going to get the 116613 which is what I should have bought in the first place."

The new iteration is gorgeous but certainly a departure from the previous beloved design in a few areas. Perhaps try and spend some wrist time with each, so as to better know which is more suited for your wear.

Seeing as the OP is pushing 8 months, somehow I think he's probably made up his mind by now (or maybe not).

116613 is the superior watch but I don't like the case with its fat lugs, so I would get the 16613 even if the price was the same.

The Blue on the 16613 is very nice, but I do like the case and bracelet better on the 116613.

Either way, I would buy from a trusted seller here on the forum. I have seen both BNIB, and LNIB 116613's here on the forum for sell, I think there is a few available now.

I miss my 16613

16613 or 116613

I've owned three 16613 blue "sunburst dial" they are beautiful and worth getting one to add to your collection. I sold my 16613 and now own a 116613 and absolutely love it. I really like the new maxi dial, the new blue hue is clean, simple & modern. One day i'll add the 16613 again to the collection.

1) I like the blue dial better.
2) I like the smaller case.
3) It's a classic.

The 116613:

1) Drastically better clasp
2) Scratch-resistant bezel
3) I can by brand new from my AD
4) My watch dealer ( not AD, but sells preowned Rolexes and sold me my 16013) says the new Sub is far superior, no question.

I have the money to buy brand new, or get the 16613 and mayne another watch. But I really want a new Rolex. I want the experience of buying from a AD. But if the 16613 is the better choice, I would go that route. What would you do?
My advice is that you choose the one you like more. I don't know if you still get the 16613 new at the AD and I suppose if there are new should be much cheaper than the 116613.
That I would like to confirm me the friendly fellow forum. The issue of price and if there are models available 16613[/U]
I just want to tell you that in my personal experience with the same question but comparing 16610 116610 with you I can say that most of the views of the people of the forum was completely different from what was actually in the market to buy-sale.

I prefer the color of the 16613 but the bracelet of the 116613.

16613 or 116613

You can not get a BNIB 16613 at the AD unless its NOS and i suspect it will be pretty darn close to price of a 116613. The "sunburst" dial is now available for the 116613- so now you can the best of both worlds.

Well said! Plus, if the bezel insert does bother you, it will only cost you $51 to replace at a service at the RSC.

The new sunburst ceramic has numbers that are more golden than all previous yellowish TT versions.
