Rolex Air King 14000 with Saudi Crest
Saw an online ad for a 14000 Air King, blue dialed and dating back to 1991 with a Saudi crest painted just above the "6" position. It's mega priced for a 14000. I'm curious if this was a presentation piece, how many were made like this. Any particular market for these? I like the 14000 and 14000m and have been considering a blue dialed version hence the discovery of this Saudi version.
Not sure it's kosher to link to online ads here, but a simple google image search on Rolex Air King 14000 Saudi will bring it up. Best, Red

There is not any particular premium market for Saudi badged dial Rolex watches..
There are probably some who collect such things or like that little splash of color and uniqueness. There are plenty of them on the 'bay and no real way to know if any are original or not..

That Saudi badge would ruine the watch for me.

It's a presentation piece. The Saudi government used to gift such watches to some of their guests and they still do. Not a big deal. I'll not pay a premium unless I really like the looks.

Lemme guess? Blue dial, white text.
That guy has been trying to sell that watch for around $8k-ish for over a year. It's not worth much more than a standard 14000 if anything at all. Some folks do collect logo dial AKs and there are dozens of different styles. I have many photos of rare presentation pieces in my collection. The Saudi 14000 is one of the better looking logo dials

I'd rather have a Saudi AirKing than a Domino's or Hard Rock Cafe AirKing . . .
