I suspect we'll see it into 2014 (and beyond?) as they use up stock, etc.

From what I understand, that is what is being called the sunburst dial.

Would that be the 16613 model?

I think you are a bit confused, so hopefully I can shed some light...

The 16613 is the old style Submariner (aluminum bezel insert), thin lugs, tin clasp and has the dark sunburst style dial;

A few years back this watch was redesigned and replaced by the 116613LB with the maxi-style case, maxi dial, Glidelock clasp and ceramic bezel insert. This watch was introduced with a lighter flat-blue dial (that matched the ceramic bezel),

At the most recent Basel show it was revealed that Rolex was returning to the sunburst style dial in the new 116613 ceramic version of the watch. This new dial is very similar in appearance to the dial that was used in the original 16613. These are so new that they are just now beginning to arrive at the ADs.

So the sunburst dial that is new is a similar "tone," I understand the markers on it are different, as the old models (16613)?

The indices and the hands on the new 116613 dial are larger than the 16613 and we refer to the dial as a maxi dial with fat hands.

Mine was the flat blue and I prefer it to the new sunburst dial. Many will be shouting horray its back to the 16613 days but I will not be one of them.

I think I agree with you. I am a 16613 owner and I have also owned the flat-dial version of the 116613 and I think the flat "smurf" blue dial is a better match for the ceramic bezel. I am sure that I will get used to the transition, but I think these two make a great pair:)
