Fine dining fans?

In Sydney every October is good food month, which means there are plenty of foodie events on. Last night was young chef's dinner which is by far my favourite event every year as it showcases the hottest up and coming chefs coming through. It was held at Momofuku Seiobo and involved 8 courses with matching wines. Once again it didn't disappoint. Onto the pics.

The abalone dish was my favourite, it was cooked and massaged each day for 3 days before being pan fried and served.....so tender!

i jokingly asked if i could have some of the pork to go, and out came a doggie bag!

Lots of good picks. Wow! Have been very fortunate to have enjoyed some great places many of which were noted on here... but not as many as most of you!

The best 'overall' dining experience of my life occurred 10 years ago at La Tour d'Argent in Paris (http://www.latourdargent.com). From pre-dinner drinks downstairs to watching them press my numbered duck (which tasted amazing) to enjoying the sunset with Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris in the foreground, that lengthy dinner was something that I will never forget.

I've eaten at several Michelin-starred restos, but one of the best meals I've had was at The Ledbury, shortly after they achieved their well deserved 2nd Michelin star.

On the list of "To do"s are:
- Alinea
- noma
- The Fat Duck
- The French Laundry

Surprisingly not many of you have included any restos in japan...

Notre Dame and canard a la presse sounds wonderful, I hope to go next year and by the Orient Express too.

I can highly recommend the Fat Duck, amazing dining experience. Would love to go to Noma soon as well.
