I have a question
I'm a newbie to purchasing genuine Rolex parts from an AD or RSC. I've seen a few threads on here that 1) claim that an RSC would keep a bezel on a bezel replacement & 2) would keep a bracelet when getting one replaced.
If Rolex is so tight on parts, my question is: if I wanted to get a genuine Rolex Jubilee bracelet for my 14060, how would I go about doing that? I haven't looked on TRF yet - just feeling the idea out.

You can request to keep the parts from RSC, but will have to pay for them. The quoted repair price from RSC is based on them keeping the parts they replace. I would forget about trying to get any parts for a watch that do not come standard on it from the factory from a RSC. Some ADs with a parts accounts will get things for customers, others will not. You'll have to research them to find out. Otherwise, you can post in the want to buy section on TRF and see if any sellers have the goods you need. Good luck!

You could send or take the watch to them without the bracelet, or bezel.

Thanks for the input guys...from what I'm reading here a genuine Rolex Jubilee looks like a pipe dream. Is there an after market product I should be aware of?

put an ad in the want to buy section. start a thread asking if someone with the correct watch would consider purchasing a jubilee bracelet for you. you might get lucky.

I went to my AD and requested that he order me a super Jubilee for my GMT. He did it no questions asked. It came in today and I'm going to pick it up later. I would suggest you try several ADs, if you establish a relationship with one they will more than likely help you.

When I bought a 93150 about 2 years ago they quoted me one price if I kept my 9315 and one price if I turned the bracelet in. Which I did.
I bought a jubilee from a forum member a few years ago and that's the direction I would recommend. |

This won't be popular, but the cold fact is that many many aftermarket jubilees are quite comfortable. You can't expect full Rolex quality or the crown on the end of the clasp, but you know that going in. And they're cheap and look nearly the same, even to a WIS, from 5 feet away.
